Mama Detwiler's Pot Roast

This comfort food classic is the perfect Sunday lunch.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 lb chuck roast
  • 3 lbs potatoes of your choice, quartered or halved
  • 1 lb baby carrots
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 head garlic
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp Mrs. Miller's onion soup powder
  • 1 cup water

Instructions
 

  • In a roasting pan, place roast and vegetables around the roast. Season everything liberally. Add water to the sides.
  • Cover and roast at 350 for 4 hours.

This is Mama's recipe she has used for as long as we can remember. Nothing says home more like this meal.
