Pappy's Holiday Ham

This is the Detwiler family's favorite way to make holiday ham, just like Pappy did!

Ingredients
  

  • 7 lb off the bone ham
  • 8-12 oz Sprite or 7up
  • brown sugar, sprinkle

Instructions
 

  • Place ham on a sheet of tin foil inside a roasting pan. Make sure the foil is big enough to wrap around and seal the ham.
  • Pour Sprite over the ham.
  • Lightly rub a small amount of brown sugar over the ham, just enough to lightly coat it. Seal the foil around the ham.
  • Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes per pound or until you reach 140 degrees internal temperature.

Notes

A 7 lb ham serves 12-15 people, but get plenty! It makes great leftovers!
