Detwiler’s Breaks Ground on New Distribution Center

Detwiler’s Farm Market is continuing to grow. On May 13, 2024, we held a groundbreaking ceremony to officially kick off construction on a new warehouse and distribution center at Florida International Tradeport in Palmetto, FL.  The roughly 133,000-square-foot facility will serve as our main distribution center for our six brick-and-mortar stores between Palmetto and Venice.

“This is something we’ve been working on for a long time,” said Sam Detwiler, President of Detwiler’s Farm Market. “Our goal is to be able to bring our prices down lower and continue to stay true to our ‘Eat Fresh for Less’ motto,” Sam continued. Henry Detwiler Sr., founder of Detwiler’s Farm Market, noted, “We’re looking forward to all being under one roof in our new distribution center so we can serve our customers even better.”

We are thankful for the team at Benderson Development, including Mark Chait, for working with us to get this project going. We look forward to the future growth this will allow us to have and how much better we will get at serving our communities.
