Salsa Verde

The perfect topping for your tacos!
Course Sauces

Ingredients
  

  • 9 tomatillos
  • 8 jalapeños
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 white onion, finely diced
  • 1/4 bunch cilantro, finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Peel tomatillos. Wash tomatillos and jalapeños and cut off stems of jalapeños.
  • Place tomatillos and jalapeños in a large pot of water and bring to a rapid boil. Boil for approximately 8 minutes until tomatillos turn almost a yellow color.
  • Using a slotted spoon, get tomatillos and jalapeños out of the pot and place in a blender along with the garlic cloves and salt. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour into a bowl and place finely diced onion and cilantro into the salsa. Stir to combine and test for salt levels.
  • Let cool at room temp and enjoy.
