Strawberry Freezer Jam
The classic Sure-Jell recipe is our go-to!
Ingredients
- 2 cups crushed strawberries, about 1 quart
- 4 cups sugar
- 1 box Sure-Jell
- 3/4 cup water
Instructions
- Hull and wash about 1 quart of strawberries. In a blender, pulse until desired consistency is reached. We like to leave little chunks in ours.
- In a large bowl, add 2 cups of crushed strawberries and 4 cups of sugar. Mix until well combined and let sit on the counter for 15-20 minutes.
- After the strawberries have been sitting for 10 minutes, work on your water and Sure-Jell mix. In a sauce pot, add 3/4 cups of water and the Sure-Jell. Mix well then bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute while stirring.
- Add hot water and Sure-Jell mix to your strawberry mixture and stir for 3 minutes.
- Pour jam into jars and let sit on the counter at room temperature for 24 hours. Freeze what you're not going to use right away and keep the open jars in the fridge.
