Overnight Butter Horns
The perfect roll for your holiday gatherings!
Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tbsp yeast
- 3 eggs
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 5 to 5 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- In a stand mixer, add water and yeast and stir to dissolve. Add eggs, melted butter, sugar and salt and mix well.
- Gradually add in flour and combine until the dough starts to come off the sides of the mixer.
- Spray a large bowl and place the dough in it. Cover and let the dough rise overnight in the fridge.
- After resting overnight, split the dough in half and then roll out into a circle. Brush with a little melted butter, and then using a pizza cutter, cut into 12 pieces. Roll into the crescent shape starting with the wide end of the dough triangle. Repeat with remaining dough.
- Place the dough on a baking sheet. Cover with a tea towel and let rise for another 3-4 hours at room temperature.
- Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Immediately brush with more melted butter.
