Strawberry Pretzel Salad
The perfect light dessert
Ingredients
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 8 oz container cool whip
- 6 oz strawberry jello
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 quart strawberries, sliced
Instructions
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil and add jello. Stir to dissolve and let cool to room temperature.
- Crush pretzels in a ziplock bag. Place in a large bowl and add melted butter and 1/4 cup sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Place crust in a 9x13 baking dish and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Cool.
- In a large bowl, take softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar and mix until cream cheese is smooth. Fold in cool whip. Place on cooled crust and spread evenly. Put in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, hull and slice strawberries and add to room temperature jello. Pour over cooled cream cheese mix. Refrigerate for 2-4 hours until jello is set.
