Detwiler’s Farm Market is excited to announce plans for a new location in North Port, Florida, with an anticipated opening in the fourth quarter of 2028. This location will mark a significant milestone for our company as our first store built entirely from the ground up, our southernmost location, and our largest location to date.
Our customers have been asking for years for Detwiler’s to move further south. We’ve been trying to work out a deal for years, and we finally had the right opportunity present itself to us. As one of the fastest-growing communities in Southwest Florida, North Port provides the ideal setting for our continued growth and commitment to serving local families.

The new North Port store will feature Detwiler’s full range of departments, including fresh produce, deli, bakery, seafood, meat, and grocery items. The larger footprint will allow for expanded offerings, enhanced layout, and an even more immersive farm market shopping experience.
The new store will be located at 5001 N Sumter Blvd. More details, including hiring information and grand opening celebrations, will be shared as construction progresses.
