Homemade Meatballs

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 3/4 cup quick oats
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp finely minced onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 4-6 tbsp minced onion
  • 4 tbsp white vinegar
  • 3 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs until well combined. Shape into balls and freeze for 30-40 minutes.
  • Take about 1 cup of flour and add some more salt, pepper, and garlic powder to season. Dip the meatballs in the flour and shake off the excess.
  • In a large skillet, fry the meatballs in lots of butter until golden brown on all sides. They will not be cooked through at this point. Place in a baking dish while you prepare your sauce.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients for your sauce and mix well. Pour over the meatballs.
  • Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes.
