This is a Detwiler family favorite recipe. Sam makes this every Christmas!
Sam's Island Shrimp
The perfect shrimp appetizer!
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 limes, juiced
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 6.6 oz bottle Sweet Chili Sauce Sam likes the Thai Kitchen brand.
- red pepper flakes, optional
- 2 lbs EZ peel shrimp
Instructions
- In a cast iron skillet, bring butter and garlic to golden brown.
- Add lime juice and ¼ cup cilantro, sweet chili sauce and optional red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer.
- In a separate pot, boil shrimp until done then add to the sauce. Top with the remaining cilantro.
- Serve with fresh baguette pieces.
